Went for a game of badminton after work today. It has been a long while since i lost that much of sweat. So if you find me sitting somewhere, motionless for the next few days please don’t touch me,  -_- I’m puttin’ my muscles on hibernation mode.

Came home tired. Watched the pre-recorded Chinese TVB series, Love Bond, on ASTRO(cable TV). Bugger show made me shed my precious tears. Dang! why must i always have to give-in to some touchy family-bonding show?! Tomorrow is its final episode. That show better don’t disappoint me with some lousy ending.

Great! Let me count my loss today. I’ve lost 3 bucket full of sweat……. and a bottle bottle-cap full of tears. Shall i call that dehydration?…Nah! Better sleep and rest. Nites people!!

—–quick post————————–
Just watched "Lakehouse" last night. The shows got me wondering "hmmm… when was my the last time I watched a love story". Seldom, i seldom watch love stories but "Lakehouse" was quite a nice show. It was since the movie "Speed" that Keanu and Sandra acted along-side each other(i think), and they did quite well in this one too.

wow…it has been one week+ since i last post. consequences: accumulated topics to post, un-able to make up which to post, and un-able to make up the title. hence, no fixed topic and no fixed title.

Ok.., last week i made it a point to visit Doulos…Heard of it? Never heard of it? Anyway here’s a basic intro to Doulos.
Meet Doulos!!..
P1010006

"Constructed in 1914, MV Doulos is the world’s oldest active ocean-going passenger ship. During her lengthy career, she has sailed under four distinct names: Medina, Roma, Franca C and Doulos.
The ship has been utilised for four very different purposes: freighting
goods, transporting emigrants, for cruises, and most recently in her
present role as a vessel to bring knowledge, help and hope to the
people of the world…….
Doulos was purchased in 1977 by Gute Bücher für Alle e.V.
(Good Books for All), a private, non-profit, charitable organisation
registered in Germany.

Over 18 million visitors have been
welcomed on board for tours, programmes and visits to the floating book
fair. With stops in over 500 ports of call, this unique ship has
visited more than 100 countries in including Africa, the Americas,
Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and many island nations.
Doulos is recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest active ocean-going passenger ship
." - (text taken from http://mvdoulos.org/, 2006)

There, a basic intro as i mentioned. For more information, visit the websites. Right now, pictures!

———quick post————————————————————–
Just met with another accident yesterday. sigh…the previous time i had an accident was just a few months back and all the replaced parts are still so fresh and new. Think about the cost of repairing….sigh. Car developers has got to put a pause in developing driver safety features (as it has already been done) and start on "wallet" safety feature. I think cars should have ABS(Air Bags System) installed in their bumpers. That way our cars won’t get as much damage as it should…that, keeps our wallets away from damage as well.

Last

July 26th, 2006 by emmanuelcheong

Last weekend was my final weekend on ITduty in IKEA. I never keen on doing weekend duties in the past. Probably it was my last one, so i enjoyed every moment of it. It was somehow different from the ones before….atmosphere feels a lot more nicer, music sounds a lot more soother, people feels a lot more friendly and ahhh….how could i forget the bears that i walk pass everyday.

P1010468

..they smile even cuter. Is like they’re calling to me "take me home..take me home"

A few days before, i had already bought 3 of them. I even gave them a bath….

P1010491

…and hanged them to die dry…..
P1010494

So i won’t be buying any more of them until later.

It was a busy day no doubt, but i was able to escape from all the hassle during lunch break, to 1Utama…hehe

While i was walking around i saw something that once was an amusement to me when i was little….
P1010496

It use to be a 40cents ride compared to now, RM1 per ride. To pay for a few shaking and galloping i wonder why it was such an amusement to me back then. Things like this is not as popular among kids nowadays compared to those days. Like the picture i took for instance. Where is all the kids? Well…we can’t blame it all on snoopy can’t we…no, not with the presence of this new product in town…..
Igallop

They were having a galloping roadshow in 1U. Now, no wonder the kids are away from snoopy. I tell you, kids love this galloping thing. First, it’s a free ride during the roadshow. And second, the kids have full control over the speed of this thing. I had the liberty to video captured one of the kid riding it.

Note: Pay attention to the little girl on the right, especially when she press the button

——————————————————————————————————————–

Busy weekend… like i mentioned. But i did manage to gather some shots(during break) of where we used to walk around on weekday’s lunch break

P1010470

P1010473

Cineleisure is still as empty so there’s not much of an attraction there. There’s only 2 tenants as of for now.

I really gonna miss working near ‘the Curve’ and ‘Cineleisure’.

HE Jokes

July 22nd, 2006 by emmanuelcheong

I looked at the time, "7:18PM". It’s Friday and i don’t wanna miss lifegroup (my regular Friday christian discussion group aka cellgroup). I pack my things and I zoomed out of the office.

|| (PAUSE!)

"For those that wonder what we usually do in Lifegroup; we gather as a small group in one of the church member’s habitat
home, discussing over Bible verses, and applying it’s values to our
daily life. In a relaxed environment we do the discussions in forms of
fellowships and sharing…and we eat after that
Homer_1jpg

mmmm…fooood "
> (UN-PAUSE!)

With a jumping heart, I’m glad that i can finally leave my work behind. But to my dismay the moment of relieve was only a short one when i was caught on a highway jam. It was an unexpected jam. I don’t get jammed on the highway often going back home on my regular hours - Like i said, it was an unexpected one.

I looked at the car’s dashboard clock, "8.15PM". By then, i literally felt my bladders and i know I’m at that point - "when i need to go, i really..really…really and want to, need to go".  The cars are slowly inching their way forward and my laps are slowly inching towards each other, finding it hard to control the clutch and accelerator. I still have no sight of a Petrol Station….what did i do? I start talking to God. "Dear God, please let it hold. Show me a Station or any sign of relieve…nono not..not relieve (not right here, not right now)… sign of a toilet i meant". Shortly after…I heard reply from a voice within me, "Why is it always only in times of troubles that u start talking to ME? (slight laughter)". As i inch my car pass a corner i spotted a PETROL STATION. It was a stone throw away but it seems to takes ages to reach there by car.

-_-’ "Owh GOD, I got your point..i got your point.. please don’t let this be a punishment..i… need to..reach the station fast".

" ^_^ Son, don’t worry you’ll make it there in time"

I wasn’t sure HE was referring, "reach there in time", to the station or to the lifegroup o_O??. But anyhow i made it to the toilet…PHEW!

The lifegroup started not too long after i arrived. Great I’m on time. Then it made sense..HE was referring to both station and lifegroup  ^_^. I find HIM hilarious at times at the way HE replies me. HE jokes.

"The show’s gonna start! the show’s gonna start!!" Once again I find myself sitting in Cathay Cinema facing the big screen with the title "Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest". Now, what in Sparrow’s name am i doing in the same cinema, watching the same movie  the second time? If i really need to tell why, I’ll need to flashback to last Saturday, so let’s rewind *<<* dniwer s’tel os ,yadrutaS tsal ot kcabhsalf ot deen ll’i ,yhw llet ……………………………………..

150706
Ahh..Ipoh. I was back in Ipoh then. Always enjoy going back to Ipoh. It’s like a retreat and of ‘cos nice fooooood
Homer_1"mmmmm…foood"
*ahem..so anyway, it was when I’m looking for what better things to do than to eat, i found my mum watching a DVD and apparently it turn out to be POTC2(Pirates of the Caribbean2: Pirated version) bought by my uncle. -_-’ Obviously, my uncle didn’t read my previous post saying…

"….The big screen is definitely worth it for this movie so watch it in a
Cinema. Story of Pirates doesn’t mean you have to buy it from the ‘Pasar
Malam’ (piracy source), Savvy?…"

Consequences: The dark scenes are dark, very DARK. Jack Sparrow mumbles, Will Turner mumbles, Elizabeth mumb..I just can’t hear what they saying. Subtitles? Just when I thought that their trustworthy..i burst out laughing when saw the actual word of "Ship" got spelled out as "Shit". "I care less bout Jack’s shit(ship), i want the compass".

It was at that first 30 minutes i stood up straight, give a whack on the chest and said "Mum! that’s it! Don’t waste time watching the movie. It’ll tell you a complete different story reading the subtitles. I’m bringing you to the big screen. I’m treating". So then, 3days after..forward *>>* aboo abobeobsdb blah blah balahsad forward forward …………………………

190706
…big screen with the title "Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest". It was Wednesday after all. So it’ll cost me only RM6 times 2 equals RM12, equals afford-ably cheap. Besides, bringing mum to the movies was a good opportunity to give her awareness to "what’s hot and how hot". She needs to rest and relax…EMMANUEL’s way. Bowahahawaa..talking about emmanuelizing someone. No ler…actually it was just another excuse for me to watch the movie. O bugger…now to think bout it, i realize that i just can’t help thinking bout that movie. O that blardy Jack has curse upon me!! 3@#@$T&^$ Argh!! Bugger! i can’t think straight…Now that i recall it was just probably the coffee i had in IKEA just now. That’s how much harm by taking too much coffee; causing people to stay up late, crapping what come first in their head. Arghh!! Why must IKEA have free flow coffee…Must have been their evil plan with their Swedish coffee bean turning me into Pirates of the COFFEE-BEAN.

o_O I must stop blogging now and try to sleep. Don’t wanna bore you guys with more crap. Oh yea, just 1 more last message. For those that haven’t watch POTC2, do stay back till the very end (after the credits). There’s a short scene that i failed to watched the 1st time. No…i won’t tell you what’s in that scene. You’ll have to go see it yourselves and no pirated CD/DVD for this show!!…SAVVY!!

A visit to the Carribean and Back

July 13th, 2006 by emmanuelcheong

Just came back from watching "Lanun-Lanun Lautan Carribean: Harta Orang Mati" (Seriously, that was what has been translated for Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest in Malay). The movie was superbly marvelous. I like such movies, especially it’s about Pirates which I once watch alot in my childhood days..Sinbad(the movie not the cartoon), Cuthroat Island, …and if it’s inclusive in the genre; Peter Pan and Hook. Great great, show shouldn’t be miss. The big screen is definitely worth it for this movie so watch it in a Cinema. Story of Pirates doesn’ mean you have to buy it from the ‘Pasar Malam’ (piracy source), Savvy?
